Summary of Social Housing Needs Assessment 2026

Tipperary County Council is carrying out a Social Housing Needs Assessment (SSHA) for 2026, as required under national housing legislation.

As part of this process:

• Selected applicants on the social housing list will be contacted by the Council.
• They will be asked to confirm if they still wish to remain on the housing list.
• Applicants must complete and return the assessment form, along with any updated supporting documents (such as proof of income if circumstances have changed).

📅 Deadline: All completed forms must be returned by Friday, 17 July 2026.

Important Information

• If you do not return the fully completed form and required documents, your application will be closed, and you will be removed from the housing list.
• Applicants who were assessed in SSHA 2025 are not included in this review.
• The following groups are also not affected:
  • HAP tenants
  • RAS tenants
  • Applicants already approved for a housing transfer

Reminder

Elected representatives have been informed and are encouraging all relevant applicants to complete and return their forms on time to avoid losing their place on the housing list.
